Hair Concepts Training Academy (HCTA) is pleased to offer two (2) training program delivery methods designed to meet your career development needs.
In-School Program
This program is designed for the individual who wishes to commit to a full time hair training program. This program usually runs over a nine (9) month period.
This program is a twelve hundred and fifty (1250) hour program that is delivered in a school training environment utilizing leading edge methods of instruction for relaying information, stimulating thought, adding comprehension, and enhancing retention. You will learn the knowledge required for the proper utilization of chemicals, infection control principles and practices; and you will develop the skills necessary in the art of cutting, styling, coloring and permanent waving to ensure you have the foundation for a successful and exciting career in the hairdressing profession.
Our licensed, professional and experienced instructor will guide you through this program with the goal of you being successful, happy and excited with your career choice.

In-School/Mentorship Program
HCTA is very pleased to have developed and expanded our hair training program to include an in-school/mentorship hair training component. This program received approval from the Department of Education in 2016.
This program allows HCTA to partner with a qualified and approved professional Master Beauty Operator (mentor) to deliver the hair training program.
This program is designed to provide flexibility to accommodate full time and part time studies.
This program is a twelve hundred and fifty (1250) hour program that encompasses in-school training environment and partnership with an external qualified and approved Master Beauty Operator. HCTA provides the knowledge, theory and concepts of the program and the mentor is responsible for the skill development. HCTA maintains management and overall supervision of the training program, both in-school and mentorship, to ensure the program is delivered in a professional and timely manner. Through ongoing reporting and effective dialogue HCTA maintains effective communications with the mentor and the student. Working together creates a positive learning environment to enable you to reach your goals.
